TESTIMONIALS
Captain Paul Brown, P&O Cruises:
“The media training was the most useful training I have ever had, apart from learning how to drive the ship.”

Morgan Van Selman, product manager, P&O Cruises:
“I have had to deal with interviews a lot over the years and found the session very comprehensive and useful, particularly the ‘grilling’ interviews and to think of your answers rather than their questions part to the session.”

Gray Grieve, managing director,
Capela Travel Training:

“Phil has conducted media and PR training for travel industry personnel on behalf of Capela over several years. He is reliable, knowledgeable and very straight to deal with, and delegate feedback has been consistently excellent. I could not recommend Phil more highly.”

about

Phil Davies – freelance journalist and media trainer

My media consultancy offers a combination of writing skills and industry knowledge to companies both in the travel sector and outside.

I have been a journalist for 30 years with experience in both weekly and daily newspapers and online news. I also have experience in editing customer and staff magazines.

Using my experience as former editor of travel industry news magazine Travel Trade Gazette and editor of online news service www.TravelMole.com, I also provide editorial and write blogs for websites run by travel agencies in the cruise sector.

Now working as a freelance journalist for leading travel trade title Travel Weekly, I also assist companies in preparing strategies, PR plans, reports, newsletters, internal communications, customer magazines and internal journals.

Neil Oliver, cruise director, P&O Cruises:
“I found the training very useful. As we all think we know what to say at the right time but this gave us the correct tools to use. I would feel more confident with the media from now on. Also I was interested to see news/current affairs from another angle. The scenarios were very helpful and I think a lot of this was due to us being in small groups.”

Paul Ludlow, UK director Princess Cruises:
“I was very impressed with the course, I came away feeling more confident and better equipped to tackle interviews moving forward.”
