MEDIA TRAINING

Media training services range from effective press release writing and working with the media through to managing media relations and crisis management.

I create bespoke courses for groups or individuals who want to raise their profile while avoiding banana skins. Clients learn tricks of the trade and highlight how to best manage forms of new media.

My ability to understand the workings of journalists and PRs put me in a unique position to offer advice on handling press relations to ensure companies achieve the best possible exposure.

 CONSULTANCY

I am regularly employed to assist companies with their PR strategies, project work, report writing and research. I offer extensive travel industry knowledge and top-level contacts both in the media and travel trade.

WRITING AND EDITING

Using my extensive experience working for the UK’s leading travel industry news magazine Travel Weekly and as former editor of Travel Trade Gazette and online news service www.TravelMole.com, I help companies produce newsletters, internal communications, customer magazines. I provide content for online and print media.

TESTIMONIALS

Captain Paul Brown, P&O Cruises:
“The media training was the most useful training I have ever had, apart from learning how to drive the ship.”

Morgan Van Selman, product manager, P&O Cruises:
“I have had to deal with interviews a lot over the years and found the session very comprehensive and useful, particularly the ‘grilling’ interviews and to think of your answers rather than their questions part to the session.”

Gary Grieve, managing director,
Capela Travel Training:
“Phil has conducted media and PR training for travel industry personnel on behalf of Capela over several years. He is reliable, knowledgeable and very straight to deal with, and delegate feedback has been consistently excellent. I could not recommend Phil more highly.”
